Hey Everybody,
It’s almost time to rock! If you’re coming to the NYC action

and you haven’t bought your tickets yet, I suggest you buy them ASAP.

Getting them in advance saves you 3 bucks each (they’re $15 at the door),

plus it’s quite possible we could be sold out by show time. Sales are

picking up fast…
Also, we just finished an overhaul of our MySpace website

that I’m THRILLED with. The guy who designed it for us, Victor Moreno,

creates MySpace sites for the studios and I really love what he did for us….

www.MySpace.com/schooledthemovie
If you’re interested in Victor’s services or the awesome skills

of my friend Jimmy Avakian who created our official “Schooled” site,

I’m happy to give you their contact info.
Lastly, we just finished setting up the plans for a screening of “Schooled”

in Puerto Rico at Casa Sudbury hosted by it’s founder Mari Luce Fernández.

That’s slated for February and should be wonderful.
It’s very exciting to see the momentum keep rolling on…
-)
Best,

Brooks

Ben Umstead designed this flyer. He’s an alumni of the Fairhaven School
which uses the education model school which inspired the film. He’s been
an amazing contributor to this project on both sides of the screen
(he even plays a part as “Ben the Staff Member” )
and I’m pumped up about what he did with this design….

Updated Schooled NYC Flyer

Hey Everybody,

Our NYC dates (Dec 1 & 2) are looking good,
and now we’re also lined up for our last screenings… in Hollywood!

The final screenings will be at the amazingly comfy,
Silent Movie Theater! As of last month, it’s no longer silent
and now being programmed by Cinefamily,
the guy who owns Cinephile Video, the coolest DVD shop in town.
And his programming for the Silent Movie Theater rocks!

Check out this recent article about them from the LA Weekly:

Silent Movie Theater

And on
***Saturday, December 15th at 4:30pm***
we’re having The Play Mountain Place Benefit Screening.
That’s the school that shares the same rebel spirit as the one
in our film and it’s where I spent a year doing research for the film.
In return for their generosity, I’ll be donating 10% of our profits
from this screening to the school.

On
***Monday, December 17th at 7:30pm***
we’re having our second and final screening
to be followed by The Official DVD Release party!
The party will be held at The Red Pearl Kitchen
www.RedPearlKitchen.com
which is around the corner at
6703 Melrose (Near Highland) 90038

Tickets for either screening are $12.

While supplies last, at the screenings we will be selling the
“SCHOOLED Sneak Preview Edition” DVDs and the
“10th Anniversary Edition of SNAPSHOTS from a .500 SEASON”
which was the student feature I made when I was 22,
starring Daniel Kucan, Vladimir Borges, and David Heymann
of “Schooled.” And both my films were also scored by the beloved
Andrew Hollander, who’s best known now for the music in “Waitress.”

Awesome stuff coming up. Very exciting!
